Flexible Produced Water Solutions Technology
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that hydraulic fracturing of a single shale well can use 2 to 10 million gallons of water. It estimates that the transportation of 2 to 5 million gallons of water requires 1400 truck trips.
PWS has demonstrated extensive experience in the remediation of ground water contaminated by petroleum byproducts. This work has led Produced Water Solutions’ engineering team to investigate treatment solutions for post-use water from hydraulic fracturing operations.
Through our experiments in the West Texas Midland Odessa oil patch, we have proven that our propriety systems will effectively clean post-fracturing fluid onsite for reuse. We can remove most impurities – including radium. In fact, PWS experiments yielded water suitable for municipal discharge. Our methodology will significantly reduce costs typically associated with freshwater purchases and water transport for most fracturing operations.
Produced Water Solutions systems are designed to operate 24/7/365. That’s why our service technicians are typically posted within a few hours of each PWS installation.
Produced Water Solutions is currently seeking a fracturing industry partner for its work in developing this cost saving, sustainable technology.
